BONNAROO ARTIST SPOTLIGHT ’14 | CHERUB

Bonnaroo fans have to wait only a little bit more than a month until the festival kicks off in Manchester, Tennessee June 12-15. The excitement is constantly growing, especially after the line-up was announced in February. Some of the other headlining names on the list include Elton John and Lionel Richie, two big legendary names who will be making their first trip to the Tennessee festival. However, the biggest topic is Kanye West, who is returning to the festival after his appearance at the event in 2008 was met with much controversy – Lets see what happens!

We chose Cherub as our spotlight artist for Bonnaroo 2014 because we wanted to look a little bit deeper into the line-up. Because the Bonnaroo line-up for this year has so much to offer, we wanted to not focus on the headliners and take a look at an artist that is a bit smaller  but just as awesome as any of the big names.

If you’ve never heard of Cherub, maybe their most famous song “Doses and Mimosas” sounds familiar, which you can listen to below. Cherub is a sexy electro-pop duo that is the dance love-child of 80’s funk, and pop-music from the future. The members of Cherub, Jordan Kelley and Jason Huber, craft hooky electro-pop that lyrically captures the risque, pleasure-seeking impulses of their youth, while their studio expertise results in grooves so alluring, even your parents can dance to them. Coming from Nashville, the Cherub members are very close to their hometown and are lined-up for the first festival day at 9 pm!
