Whether she's DJing a high-profile fashion function, leading a crowd into the wee hours of the morning at a premier club, or in the studio working on an original production, Mia Moretti, a New Yorker by way of LA, lives and breathes music. A stylistic chameleon (equal parts disco nerd and instantly-recognizable pop music aficionado), Mia trots the globe, catering to whatever the gig at hand demands. As one of NYC's most sought-after DJs, Mia has been profiled in the New York Times ("The New Club Kids," Sunday Style Section) and has garnered a Billboard Dance Top 10 for her remix work (including tracks for dance-floor divas Katy Perry, Robyn and Rye Rye). More recently Mia has opened for Diana Ross at the Liasons au Louvre Benefit, rung in the New Year in Las Vegas with Stevie Wonder and released her debut single, "Summer of '93" with violinist Margot, known collectively as The Dolls. In addition to the duo's release, Mia regularly lends her keen ear to the fashion world, composing original tracks for runway shows and fashion week presentations. No stranger to this realm, she will debut a Jazz-era inspired capsule collection this forthcoming New York Fashion Week (Spring 2013) in collaboration with Pencey.
