Slater Hogan came up through the underground house music scene in 1998, playing raves and clubs around the Midwest. He started producing music in 2003 with long time friend, John Larner. The 2 bridged their Chicago house and Detroit techno influences along with some funk, soul and jazz, and created a sound that was all their own. 2004 was a breakout year for the duo, when they had 5 songs charting on Pete Tong's Essential mix. One song, "Caught Out", caught the ear of Yousef, and he picked it up for his label, Hip Therapist. Yousef then brought Slater to Liverpool to play alongside Fat Boy Slim and Groove Armada at Circus. This event was voted best party of the year in the UK by Muzik Magazine and Mixmag. That opened the flood gates, and Slater produced over 100 12" EP's over the next 3 years. You can purchase his music online at itunes, beatport, stompy, traxxsource, and many other online outlets. House music is not very big in Indianapolis, so after settling down in his home city, Slater took his love for all styles of music and began playing more of an open format on his club nights. Last year, Slater was added to the Saturday Vibe mix team for RadioNOW 100.9, and Radio One company with over 200,000 people tuning in each weekend.
